General

Booking, first appointments, and what to expect

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly.

What happens in the first appointment?

We take the time to understand the full story, assess what seems most relevant, and map out a practical plan.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on the problem, your goals, and how things respond. The aim is always to give you direction from the start rather than leave you guessing.

Chronic pain

Questions about persistent pain

Can you help if I have had pain for months or years?

Yes. Persistent pain is a major focus of the clinic. See our chronic pain physiotherapy page for more detail.

Do I need a scan first?

No. Scans are sometimes useful, but they are not required before booking.

What if I have seen other physios already?

That is very common. The goal is not to repeat the same process. It is to understand what has and has not worked, and build from there.

Running & sport

Questions about running and athletic injuries

Can you help me return to running after injury?

Yes. That is a key focus area. Learn more on our return to running physiotherapy page.

What if the injury keeps flaring up whenever I increase training?

That is exactly the kind of problem that usually needs better load planning, clearer criteria, and more confidence in progression. See long-term athletic injury rehab for how we approach it.

Work, funding & booking

Questions about WorkCover, Medicare, location, and how to book

Do you work with WorkCover, DVA, and Medicare care plans?

Yes. PhysioPM accepts WorkCover, DVA, and Medicare CDM/EPC referrals, as well as private health. Reach out if you are unsure whether your funding applies. See our return to work rehabilitation page for more on how we support work-related recovery.

Where is the clinic?

57 Park St, Pimlico, Townsville QLD 4812. Full details on the contact page.

How do I book?

Use the online booking link or contact the clinic directly.
